Nats can't sweep, lose to Twins 6-3 OR Boof Beats Bacsik

The Washington Nationals were never really in today's game, even as they overcame a 3-0 deficit and at one point had the score narrowed to 4-3 before losing 6-3.

Starter Mike Bacsik fell behind early in the first inning and never got enough run support.

A moment of drama occurred in the 2nd when what looked like a 2-run shot from Dmitri Young was called back, and called back correctly.

Twins starter, "Boof" Bonser actually seemed to have similar stats on paper as Bacsik, but the single biggest difference was, Bonser had 5 strikeouts, Bacsik had none. The Nats had 11 hits, but also 2 errors.

Ryan Report: Lackluster. Church went 2 for 4, Zimmerman, in the DH role, went 0 for 5, Langerhans 0 for 2 but was walked twice, and Austin Ryan Kearns went 1 for 4 and was walked.

Ronnie Belliard went 3 for 4 with an RBI, and Dmitri Young went 3 for 5, Brian Schneider went 1 for 4 with an RBI.

That's about as stat-happy as I'm going to get. For the whole picture just go here.

Now for an off-day as the team sort-of comes home to resume inter-league play in Baltimore on Tuesday.
